Comal County, Texas

Remodeling contractor in Spring Branch, TX.

Spring Branch sits just north of us up US 281, and the work here is different from a subdivision job. Lots run larger, a good number of the houses were built one at a time rather than by a developer, and that shows up the moment you open a wall. Older Hill Country builds tend to have closed-off kitchens and rooms that were added as the family grew, which is exactly the situation a wall removal fixes.

OneWay Remodel builds custom kitchens, closets, cabinetry and whole home remodels for Spring Branch homeowners. We are based in Bulverde, roughly 15 minutes south, so Spring Branch is inside our normal service area with no travel surcharge. Owner Hayne Wolmarans supervises every job. Licensed RBC-22-01411.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions.

What Spring Branch homeowners ask us most, answered the way we would answer on the phone.

1.

Do you charge a travel fee for Spring Branch?

No. We are based in Bulverde, roughly 15 minutes south, and Spring Branch is inside our normal service area.

2.

Do you work on older Hill Country houses?

Yes, and they are some of the better work we get. Houses built one at a time rather than by a developer are common here. Opening them up usually means structural work, done under license RBC-22-01411 with permits pulled.

3.

Why do the doors stick in my Spring Branch house?

San Antonio and the Hill Country sit on expansive clay. It swells when it rains and shrinks in drought, and our rainfall swings hard between the two. That movement is why doors stick, tile cracks, floors run out of level and gaps open at the trim. We measure and scribe to the house as it actually is rather than assuming it is square.

4.

My house was added onto over the years. Can that be fixed?

Usually. Additions that happened one at a time tend to leave a house with rooms that do not relate to each other and trim that changes at every doorway. Running consistent flooring, casing and crown through the whole house is what makes it read as one home again.

5.

Do you pull permits in Comal County?

Yes. Requirements differ inside city limits and in unincorporated Comal County, and we confirm which applies to your address before work starts.

6.

How long does a kitchen remodel take in Spring Branch?

A full custom kitchen takes 2 to 4 weeks. A custom closet takes about a week. Whole home remodels depend on scope.

7.

Can you build a sauna or a wine room out here?

Yes. Cedar saunas and wine storage are some of our favourite work, and larger Hill Country properties often have the space for them.

8.

Is there a minimum project size?

We take whole rooms rather than single fixtures. A custom shop build carries the same setup cost whether it is one cabinet or a kitchen full, so a one-item job serves you badly and we say so on the phone.
