Yes! While the State of Texas doesn’t require a general contractor license, the City of San Antonio does. OneWay Remodel is fully licensed and insured through the city. We hold a Residential Building Contractor license (RBC-22-01411), which means we meet all local requirements for pulling permits and completing remodels safely and legally. We always encourage clients to verify any contractor's license with the city before signing a contract.
Start by checking reviews, asking for referrals, and verifying licenses and insurance. At OneWay Remodel, most of our work comes from happy clients who refer us to friends and family. We’re transparent, experienced, and easy to reach.
We also offer a free Home Remodeling Organization Kit to help you ask the right questions—even if you don’t hire us.
Kitchen remodel costs vary based on the size of the space, the materials you choose, and whether layout changes are involved.
At OneWay Remodel, most kitchen projects fall between $25,000–$125,000.
We’ll walk you through design options and help you balance style, function, and budget.
OneWay Remodel is a design-build company, which means we handle everything, from initial ideas and drawings to the final build.
You don’t need to juggle multiple companies or designers. We’ll guide you through selections, layouts, and finishes to create a space that reflects your style and fits your needs.
In most cases, yes—especially for kitchen or bathroom remodels. We work in phases, use dust barriers, and help you set up temporary spaces to make life easier during construction. If safety is a concern, especially with pets or small children, we’ll help you come up with a custom plan to stay comfortable and safe.
Ask for a written contract, verify insurance, check for a current city license, and never pay large sums upfront.
At OneWay Remodel, we provide Certificates of Insurance, real references, and city-issued licenses, because we want you to feel safe and supported.
We even include a contractor vetting checklist in our free remodeling kit to help homeowners avoid costly mistakes.
Each contractor you encounter may have a different contract.
However, as a general rule you should look for contracts to include a clear scope of work, materials, payment schedule, timeline, warranty information, and change order procedures.
Everything is written down so you’re never left guessing. We believe a good contract protects both the homeowner and the contractor—and leads to a better working relationship.
